KING STREET DEPOT
This gallery is dedicated to King Street Depot, the current bus depot of First Aberdeen and head office of FirstGroup plc. The depot is currently being redeveloped to provide a brand new depot and global HQ for First. Since its acquisition by Aberdeen Corporation Transport in 1914 the former army barracks has seen a vast array of vehicles, operators and colours pass through its gates. In the collections below a selection of these can be found.

In April 2009 the heritage single deck fleet was moved to new facilities at the Grampian Transport Museum at Alford. The coach fleet then took their place in the sheds at Kittybrewster as seen here by the 2009 AFC coach, Irizar PB 23330 (SV58 ASZ).

Detailed restoration is in the latter stages now for this 1951 Daimler CVG6. Rebuilt in 1960 with a new Alexander body it survived into the Grampian era as a trainer until 1976. The next twenty years saw it take residence in Angus first with Greyhound of Arbroath, later as a berry picker before finally entering preservation. It came back to King Street in 1997 for restoration.
